At Fair Book Deals, we take pride in offering quality books at fair prices. Each item is carefully inspected, packed, and shipped to ensure customer satisfaction. To maintain the integrity of our operations and support responsible purchasing, we have outlined the following policy. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms listed below.
No Return Policy
We do not accept returns for any orders once shipped. This includes but is not limited to:
- Change of mind
- Incorrect selection by the buyer (e.g., title, edition, author, condition)
- Duplicate orders
- Minor cosmetic wear typical of used books
We encourage all customers to review the product description, edition details, condition, and images before placing an order. If you have questions, please contact us before purchase.
Exchanges and Replacements (Applicable Only in Case of Verified Issues)
We offer replacements only in the following cases:
- Damaged items received upon delivery
- Incorrect items shipped (wrong title, edition, or book)
Requirements:
- Notify us within 24 hours of delivery.
- You must provide an unedited video of the unboxing from package opening to product reveal. This is mandatory to process any claim.
- Clear photographs of the item and packaging must accompany the claim.
- Include order number, full name, and contact details in your email.
Once verified:
- We will initiate a replacement or issue a credit voucher (subject to availability).
- If the error is on our side, we will provide a prepaid return label for incorrect items.
- If the claim cannot be verified or does not meet the above conditions, the request will be declined.
Note: Cosmetic imperfections on used books (such as minor bends, faded spines, or scuffed corners) do not qualify as damage, unless they impair readability.
Exchange/Claim Request Timeframe
All issues must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Claims beyond this timeframe will not be entertained.
Cancellation Policy
Order Cancellation (Before Dispatch):
- Orders can be cancelled within 6 hours of placement by emailing: support@fairbookdeals.com
- Cancellation requests after dispatch will not be accepted.
Post-Dispatch:
- Refusing delivery or failing to collect the parcel will not qualify as cancellation or entitle you to any refund or replacement.
Refund Policy
Refunds are only processed under these specific circumstances:
- If a verified incorrect or damaged item is received and we are unable to provide a replacement.
- Refunds are initiated only after the return is received (if applicable) and verified.
- Processing time: 2–3 business days for inspection and 5–7 business days for refund after approval.
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the error is ours.
Bulk Orders Policy
For institutional or bulk purchases (5+ copies of a single title or 10+ total books in one order):
- All bulk orders are final and non-refundable.
- Replacements are only possible for:
- Damaged books (reported with unboxing video within 48 hours)
- Incorrect titles/editions (with proof)
- No claims accepted for:
- Minor wear on used books
- Unsold inventory or buyer's stock issues
- Refunds or replacements for bulk orders are solely at the discretion of Fair Book Deals.
Non-Exchangeable Items
We do not accept exchange or refund requests for:
- Correctly delivered used books
- Books showing signs of use or personalization
- Digital products (eBooks, downloadable content, if any)
- Items missing original packaging, invoice, or unboxing video
Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth transaction and after-sales experience, customers must:
- Review all book details (title, author, edition, description) before ordering
- Provide accurate shipping and contact information
- Retain packaging and invoice
- Record a full, unedited unboxing video
- Report issues promptly (within 24 hours)
Fair Use & Abuse Prevention
Fair Book Deals reserves the right to:
- Reject claims that appear fraudulent or abusive
- Refuse service to customers who repeatedly misuse policies
- Make final decisions on all refunds or replacements
